Technology Cons
We might think to ourselves why is technology bad naturally doesn't technology equal simple tools that make life easier well I thought about this and the answer to this question is technology creates 2 things the first thing is convenience whenever there is convenience struggle disappears and that is my issues start appearing
then there comes a level above convenience which is pleasure technology is a product of the pleasure economy and that is why it has so many bad things in it
then if technology was created by Muslims we could have said that it is a little bit better than the technology of today but the technology of today is a pure consumerist agenda and it has consumerist effects it has individualistic effects
Also:
- The Trap of Enframing: It forces us to view nature and humans as "resources" to be used, optimized, not creations to be respected. Even if a believer creates the technology, the act of technological systematization forces them to treat God’s creation as a dead object to be manipulated for maximum efficiency, rather than a living sign (Ayah) to be respected.
- The Tyranny of Efficiency: It eliminates patience, mystery, and slower spiritual practices in favor of pure speed. A religious society that becomes technological will eventually start cutting corners on its spiritual life because the "Tech Mindset" whispers, "This is a waste of time."
- The Pharaonic Impulse: It feeds human arrogance (Kibr), encouraging a desire for god-like control and omniscience. Any tool designed to give humans god-like power will inherently corrupt the human heart, regardless of the creator's intent. It feeds the ego, not the soul.
- Means Over Ends: It focuses entirely on how to do things (power), ignoring why we should do them (morality). The Result: A society that is technically giant but morally stunted. You get "smart" missiles and "smart" phones, but "stupid" people who have lost the ability to sit in silence or ponder the meaning of life.
- The Veil of Simulation: It replaces the "Real" (God's creation) with the "Virtual" (man-made screens), creating spiritual numbness. We stop interacting with the world and start interacting with representations of the world (photos, profiles, metrics). This creates a spiritual numbness. You cannot feel the majesty of a mountain through a screen; you cannot feel the spiritual presence of a person through a text. Technology essentially creates a "fake" world (Simulacra) that distracts us from the "real" world where God’s signs are found.
- Disruption of Fitrah: It removes natural struggle and friction, leading to the atrophy of human character and resilience.
