Decision for Watches:
- Event watch for both of us would be the GA2100 (one black and one black-white)
- Casual Watch:
- If we consider the above points only two current watch lines fit, the AE1200, and 5600 line
- In the 5600 like we like tough solar ones, or the G5600UE/G5600E/DW5600J
- The square vs the royale:
- the royale wins on: flash alert, price, nerd factor, 20s alarm, 1 time alarm, easy button presses;
- the square wins on auto light, beauty, toughness, conversation starter, iconic, alarm snooze
- But if the square is not available we can buy the royale
- Potential options for casual watch can also be copies of the GA2100, and the SKMEI 2091
- But SKMEI has very prominent quality and software issues, most notably that the screen wears off easily, dial looks cheap, backlight washes out display, hands only move one way, hands obtrude the digital display, analog hands don't line up, my previous watches failed, display is not of high quality, dial is also low quality, lume is bad
- The GA2100 clone we'll have to check
Final Watch Decision
- Sell the DW5600J because of no second setting in timer
- Keep AE1200, and when it is no longer usable find a
